Beginning March 6th, I’ll be offering an 8-part evening course in digital photography.
The workshop is intended for people who regularly practice photography and want to spend more time enhancing, enjoying, and sharing their photos, or for people who are familiar with the basics of photography but would benefit from a refresher course to improve their skills and appreciation of photography.
Topics will include: shooting in challenging light conditions, being creative with manual settings, using a flash, photo editing software, submitting images to competitions, sharing on-line, copyright protecting your images, etiquette for shooting in public, understanding image resolution, printing and more.
Depending on the class level and interest, we can optionally look at more specific areas of photography (night photography, “stitching” many photos into one, photo-essays, etc.)
A limited selection of participants’ favourite photos taken during the course will be produced as fine art (“giclée”) prints.
The course will consist of eight 2-hour classes (held in the evenings) plus two photo-walks (held on 2 weekend afternoons TBD, weather permitting).
Fee for early registration (before February 28) is $200; $235 after that. Contact me via email to reserve a spot. Class size will be limited to 7.
