Christmas Art Sale at Dolly’s
Welcome Logan!
A few images from a recent maternity & newborn shoot. Congratulations to Danielle, Jeremy and big sister Bryn, and welcome Logan! It was a pleasure to take photos for your growing family. Contact me anytime to inquire about family photos. We’ll have fun, make memories, and create beautiful images to share with your loved ones.
Featureless
An foggy morning down at the waterfront made for a good little series of minimalist images. Something about that pre-dawn atmosphere keeps you alert. The day is not awake, not yet. Still shedding off some weird dream. All shot with a Mamiya 7 II film camera and some slow film.
Intertidal 2018
Few places on the North Coast have as many stories to tell as the North Pacific Cannery. Weathered but tough, the site immediately strikes you: it sits astride the land and the sea and is still part of both worlds. A great, gangly complex of buildings and crazy apparatus all specialized for the purpose of […]

Wild for the Skeena
Hey Northwest photographers – only a few days left to submit your images to the Skeena Wild Film & Photo Festival. Also check out that nifty header on their website, taken by yours truly(!) and submitted to the festival a few years back. A slightly hidden gem along the Skeena, this little cascade. I think of […]
Dah-dah-de-dumm…
Last week, the Treehouse took a plunge into wedding photography. And despite a typical Rupert forecast of torrential downpour, we instead enjoyed a breezy & overcast afternoon at the Sunken Gardens. Congratulations to Meghan and Brandon! Check out our wedding packages page for all the deeds on our wedding photography services.
Another Slice of Life
SO. MANY. GREAT. PHOTOS. It was so hard to pick the ones for this post. When it comes to photography, there is not much we like more than spending a good chunk of time with a family and visually documenting their adventures. We just love working with kids. First you get the shy looks over […]
Recipe for a blackberry-induced coma (a.k.a. this year’s summer road trip, a.k.a. sticky fingers, smoky skies)
We’ve still got a thousand kilometres to roll before getting home, but we thought we’d share a few of the more savoury bits of our Sunshine Coast expedition. Stay tuned for more… we’ll be back in the soggy Northwest soon.
Intertidal Music Festival
Sharing a few shots from the 1st Annual Intertidal Music Festival held at the North Pacific Cannery on July 15th. At times a bit soggy, sure… but since when does a little rain stop us? Congrats to the crew at the North Pacific Cannery and all the volunteers, musicians and attendees who made it happen.
